About Bicycle Revolution Cambridge
Bicycle Revolution Cambridge is a community-focused not-for-profit group passionate about growing cycling culture across the district. We support safer cycling, community connection, events, advocacy, and celebrating the many great people and projects helping make Cambridge a fantastic place to ride.
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes community energy, enjoys storytelling, and knows their way around social media without needing a six-person marketing team!
The Role
This is a flexible casual role responsible for keeping Bicycle Revolution Cambridge active, visible, and connected online and in the community. The successful person will help share cycling stories, promote local initiatives and events, update website content, and keep us informed about exciting cycling-related opportunities and happenings across the district.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and update Bicycle Revolution Cambridge social media channels
Create engaging posts, stories, photos, and community content
Maintain and update website content as needed
Build connections with local cycling groups and other community organisations
Identify and share “what’s happening” in the local cycling scene
Support positive community engagement and advocacy messaging
Assist with simple newsletters or promotional communications when required
What We’re Looking For
Strong communication and social media skills
A genuine interest in cycling, active transport, or community wellbeing
Good local knowledge of Cambridge and the wider district
Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently
Creative thinker with a positive, community-focused approach
Experience with basic website updates (WordPress or similar helpful but not essential)
