About Bicycle Revolution Cambridge
Bicycle Revolution Cambridge is a community-focused not-for-profit group passionate about growing cycling culture across the district. We support safer cycling, community connection, events, advocacy, and celebrating the many great people and projects helping make Cambridge a fantastic place to ride.

We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes community energy, enjoys storytelling, and knows their way around social media without needing a six-person marketing team!

The Role
This is a flexible casual role responsible for keeping Bicycle Revolution Cambridge active, visible, and connected online and in the community. The successful person will help share cycling stories, promote local initiatives and events, update website content, and keep us informed about exciting cycling-related opportunities and happenings across the district.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and update Bicycle Revolution Cambridge social media channels

  • Create engaging posts, stories, photos, and community content

  • Maintain and update website content as needed

  • Build connections with local cycling groups and other community organisations

  • Identify and share “what’s happening” in the local cycling scene

  • Support positive community engagement and advocacy messaging

  • Assist with simple newsletters or promotional communications when required

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong communication and social media skills

  • A genuine interest in cycling, active transport, or community wellbeing

  • Good local knowledge of Cambridge and the wider district

  • Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently

  • Creative thinker with a positive, community-focused approach

  • Experience with basic website updates (WordPress or similar helpful but not essential)

What We Offer

  • Flexible hours and remote-friendly work

  • Opportunity to help shape local cycling culture and community connection

  • A fun, purpose-driven role with variety and creativity

  • Modest remuneration reflecting the casual nature of the role

  • Plenty of good humans, interesting projects, and probably occasional discussions about coffee stops and tyre pressure

To Apply
Please send a short expression of interest outlining your experience, connection to the community, and why this role appeals to you. Examples of social media or community engagement work are welcome.
